Original Xbox One bootloop

Hi,

I've started experiencing problems with my original Xbox One which is running OS 10.0.25398.1762.

First Attempts:

>First it started boot looping with no access to the main Menu

>Complete Restart by unplugging the console for around 5 minutes did nothing

>After trying a soft factory reset through the troubleshooting menu it gave me an Error code starting with E200 and the problem continued

Offline System update:

>Because the support articles for Original Xbox One are extremely well worded and very concisely written *sarcasm*

I've started with OSU2 as it seemed the best fit for my OS relying on this specific support article https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/offline-system-update

> After following the steps, putting the OSU2 $SystemUpdate folder on the flash drive, holding the eject + pair button, and then pressing the power button I got TWO CHIMES IN TOTAL (in rapid succession).

(This is confusing because the aforementioned support article talks about 2 chimes to mount and copy the contents of OSU2 other articles mention 3 chimes and some articles say it goes back to the troubleshooting screen where you select the option in the upper right-hand corner to perform an offline system update)

> After performing the button combo there is no troubleshooting menu which is talked about in the article above. I've been waiting for 45 minutes now and nothing seems to happen.

What should I do next... If id it is doing the update I don't want to interrupt it, Articles aside from the official Xbox community say you should always try OSU1 first. can I Safely shut down the console after 45 minutes of black screen after attempting osu2 or am I missing something?

Also, can anyone from the Microsoft team explain to me why this process is A: so incredibly fu**** and B: why there are multiple support articles that give you different directions on which OSU you need to use and why there is no simple table that tells you?

I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with your Xbox One console on bootloop We are very glad to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.

Based on your description that you want to update your operating system on your console to OSU2. From this, perhaps the best support article that you can refer as well is still the support article link that you had attached on your thread. Meaning, all those steps are perfectly well balanced and as well as been detailed for users to understand step by step on how to initiate and work with the process correctly.

For now, it seems like that your box console is sitting for 45 minutes now and we do understand that once interrupting it might have encounter issues. But for now, you can try to turn off your Xbox console again and do the same step and as far as we move along try the OSU1 first before going to OSU2 since that is the first thing that needs to be done. And as well as please do as well let me know on what steps you have done already too on the support article that you have shared for us to be on the same page on where an what have you done as for troubleshooting your Xbox console.

Were you able to reset the console removing everything? If yes, you may need to get the console repaired by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices.
