    Original Xbox Internet Connection error


    Yesterday I tried hooking my Original Xbox up to my internet with a Ethernet cable and it said that I have a communication error and that I need to contact Microsoft about it to fix it. I don´t know how to fix it but I know for sure the previous owner
    did something to the console and I don´t know if that could be the issue.

    "Original Xbox" you speak about the first Xbox (15 years old) or the Xbox One NOT S/X?

    In the first case, the old/first Xbox there are no internet services available for this console today.

    Sorry to hear it. If this is for the original Xbox console and not the 360 or Xbox One then online service is no longer available for that console.

    Hello Bradley Boal,

    Thank you for replying back. Unfortunately, the Original Xbox's Online servers are no longer supported. You will not be able to play online with that console, if you want to play the games for Xbox they will have to be offline. If you have an Xbox 360
    or any variation of the Xbox One you can play the Original Xbox games on those console.

    Hello Bradley,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Can you give us the exact error message and code you are receiving? That can help us figure out the most effective troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. For now, id recommend going into your network settings
    and clearing the Mac address.

    1. Go into your Xbox one settings
    2. Select Network, Network settings
    3. Select Advanced settings
    4. Select alternate mac address, Clear
    Your console will then prompt you to restart. Go ahead and select restart, then try to connect your console to your network again.
