    Original Xbox game is on Backward Compatibility list, but I can't play it on 360


    I have an original (Big White) Xbox 360. It has an official Xbox hard drive. I want to play Fable: The Lost Chapters (which IS on the Backward Compatibility list).

    I connected my 360 to the internet, updated to the most recent update. Whenever I try to run the game disk, it says "This original Xbox game is not supported on your Xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more info, go to www.xbox.com/games."

    I have tried to install the Backward Compatibility update manually, by both burning it to a disk as well as via USB drive. I restart the console, but it doesn't run the update file.

    I don't know what else to do. I don't have other original Xbox games, I don't have any other 360 console, I tried asking support but only got the pages that walk you through what I've already done.

    Help?

    Original Xbox Game

    That game is not on the list of backward compatible games and will not be added. Microsoft stopped updating the original Xbox backwards compatibility on the 360 several years ago. The only way to play that game is on an original Xbox console.

    You need make sure the game is on the backwards compatibility list. If it's not there then I'm afraid you can't play it on your 360.

    By classic, I'm assuming you mean Xbox original, if so, then if you are using a Xbox 360, then make sure the games are backward compatible, by checking this list on here

    https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/games/backward-compatibility/play-original-xbox-games-on-xbox-360     and make sure your Xbox 360 console has an official Xbox 360 hard drive installed as well, otherwise they will not work.

    If you are trying to play the games on a Xbox One, then make sure the games are backward compatible, by checking this list

    https://www.xbox.com/en-gb/xbox-one/backward-compatibility     If they are not on the list, then the games will not work.

    Sorry, but Rollercoaster Tycoon is not backwards compatible with the Xbox 360. There is no way to run this game on your console.

    All the original Xbox games that can run on the Xbox 360 are on this list:http://support.xbox.com/games/play-original-games

    If the game is not on that list, you can't play it on an Xbox 360.
