Original Xbox Compatibility for Halo 1 and 2

I know that original xbox backwards compatibility is still in its early stages right now, but I am hoping that Microsoft will consider adding Halo 1 and 2 soon, as they both were rather popular titles for the original xbox. In fact one of the few original
xbox titles i still own is Halo 2. I'm sure i speak for the majority of those who have played Halo 2 in that it would be amazing to bring it back with its famous multiplayer. My friends and I have spent tons of time enjoying a game of slayer on Halo 2.

Bring it Back?

You can still play Halo 2 over Live, and gain achievements to boot, if you have a PC capable of running Halo 2 PC.

They haven't updated compatibility for the Xbox Original games for a couple of years now, so going the PC route for Halo 2 is really your only option.

Halo 2 on Games on Demand?

No, the original Halo Combat: Evolved was on games on demand not Halo 2. What they did was remove the original xbox live servers for Halo 2 and other games.

Have you looked into Halo: The Masterchief Collection? It is currently in the process of a huge incoming update and I'm sure you'll love it!

Buy Halo: The Master Chief Collection Digital Bundle - Microsoft Store

Master Chief Collection. Gives you Halo 1 - 4, and the ability to add ODST. Not bad for $30

i don't think they would make the original games backwards compatible due to the fact you can buy the halo master chief collection which gives you them 2 games in updated graphics.

As others have said, buy The Masterchief Collection, it give you Halo 1 - 4. Halo 1 & 2 can be played in their original format or "upgraded" to look much much better.

I would guess Halo 2 IS NOT backwards compatible ever either. Halo 3 and Halo: ODST are still not backwards compatible while Halo: Reach is.

The common thread there? Halo 3 and ODST are on the Master Chief Collection already, they want you to buy that. Halo: Reach isn't on that, so it got backwards compatibility. Therefore, I don't think you see Halo 1 or 2 getting BC support. Bluestacks TextNow

Halo CE (Original Xbox Backward Compatible)

Halo 2 (Original Xbox Backward Compatible)

Halo 3

Halo 4

Halo Reach

Halo 3 ODST

Halo Wars

Halo Spartan Assault

Halo CE Anniversary

Any of these can be played solo, and offline if you wish.
