Original xbox 1 down load speed

Nothing work it dropped down now to 3.42 mbps speed now now the games taking even longer I have always had this same downloading problem from my Xbox 1 even though I buy the cd it still take hours to full days to down load

The question is fairly difficult to give a solid answer, as there are numerous factors to take into account.

According to MS, they suggest a 3.5Mbps download, and 5Mbps upload speed for Online gaming and a ping of 150ms (video streaming etc have different requirements).

In saying that, connection speeds will vary by region and providers. For example, in Australia a 5Mbps upload speed is unheard of. Standard ADSL speeds are 8-15Mbps download, and .75-1.5Mbps upload, and people all around the country are still playing online
with fairly stable connections and minimal lag.

The thing to remember is that Xbox Live is run off p2p for a majority of the games (not hosted on dedicated servers), and you'll able to find hosted games through matchmaking for people with similar pings.

So in answer to your question, yes you should be able to play online with those speeds fairly comfortably. You may experience some hiccups, and its best to join other people's games rather than to host your own.

Additionally, if you have any other devices (PC, tablets, phones etc) connected to your network and sharing your internet connection, it may be a good idea to disconnect them if you experience lag, as multiple devices may cause congestion.

Thank you for the response, I feel much more positive about trying to play. I will be giving the games a try soon. I need to improve my phone line connection in order to improve the quality of my connection.

ok tried all that and still not working right , i did the speed test and heres what comes up my down load speed is 0.433 and upload speed is 0.572 not sure what it all means but seems low to me what do you folks think , I have dsl and im supose to have
1-3 mbps.
