Original Borderlands on Xbox 360

and one of the solutions that worked (for some) is to clear the console cache.

Please try the following steps

1. Clear the console cache, see this link for the how to:
   http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/clear-system-cache
2. Do this 3 times
3. Turn the console off.
4. Turn the console on.
5. Clear the console cache one more time

Let us know the results

I am playing Borderlands on my Xbox 1S so I have decided to just leave my Xbox 360 S as is. My question is that there must be a bug in the Microsoft update. Why doesn't Microsoft correct the problem? I have two Xbox 360s with 250 GB hard drives and they
both have the same issue with the Borderlands game. Why should I have to do a work around when I paid Xbox live $19.99 for a game that does not work on the Xbox 360. Thank God it plays on my Xbox One as I do love the game. I think it is the best FPS game ever
made. Thank you for your help

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble playing the first Borderlands game. I would recommend you try rolling back the most recent system update for the Xbox 360.

Roll back and then reinstall system updates. To do this:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
2. Go to settings and select System.
3. Select Storage.
4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
   
5. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.
