    Origin and Steam


    Up until recently I had a subscription to EA access, but I cancelled it as I haven't really been playing games. However, I did buy Battlefront 2 (EA one) and it's installed on steam but shows up on origin as unpurchased.

    Any thoughts?

    Because you bought it on Steam, just as if you buy a game on Xbox, origin doesn’t know you owned it either

    Just a friendly reminder though that in this case, you will be needing to reach out to EA in that way they can validate your game license because it's only EA or Steam that have visibility and troubleshooting steps to check this.

    Yes, I know, but the issue is it needs origin to launch. Like BF4.

    Origin doesn't think I own the game so it's just opening then closing.

    the licence is for steam, install via steam not origin. if you buy an ea game on steam it will list on origin but can only be played via the platform you purchased on.
