    Orange light


    I have the original Xbox, one with a steady orange light. It will not power on, but even when the power supply is not plugged into a wall, I cannot power it on. It makes no noise no lights come on, just he orange light comes on With the power supply , not plugged in into the wall, but plugged into the consul it still has an orange light. No, the consul is not plugged into my TV. Am I goner

    Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information. Are you using an Xbox 360 or an original Xbox One? Which troubleshooting steps have you attempted thus far? If you are using an Xbox One, we have a support article that provides

    Hey Joshy! Are you using an official Xbox 360 controller? Wired or wireless? If it is wireless can you try changing out the battery pack? Let us know, thanks! :)

    Overheating can cause the console to switch off. Not sure if you get an orange light. Sorry but I wouldn't want to deliberately overheat my console to prove or disprove my theory. I would suggest to not leave the console in direct sunlight, keep the console
    in a ventalated area, make sure nothing is obstructing the vents for air flow, keep away from heat sources like radiators etc... this might help correct the issue but I'm just guessing. I hope you find the answer your looking for.

    Since yellow light is atypical of a xbox 360 then we will troubleshoot for that

    Plug it directly into a wall socket not a power bar

    If it still fails you gotta replace it

    Unfortunately they dont make power bricks anymore your best bet is a pawn shop or a used game store
