Optimised HDD and SSD :for this Xbox does reduce loading times ?

i am suprised they released this for xbox consoles with mechanical hdd's, the game is optimised for nvme ssd's etc. even high powered pc's running the game on a mechanical hdd has extremely slow loading times and can stutter, i run from nvme and it runs like melted butter.

any usb 3 hdd will do fine, i don't know why people are so interested in waisting lots of money for an SSD to reduce loading times on a games by 2 - 4 seconds.

not sure about your car credit issues but the streaming issues is because you are running the game off a standard HDD, the game is optimised for ssd or nvme drives. i had the same issue until i moved the game to my nvme and then no more streaming issues.

it is when it is loading assets from the hdd and that hdd cannot keep up.

The drive has nothing to do with playing in 4K, 60 FPS etc.

The drive will only make a difference in how fast a game/level loads. That said, I would personally recommend an SSD, if you can afford it. That would noticeably reduce your loading times, especially in open world games. Unfortunately they're very expensive
compared to HDDs. It really depends on the reason why you want an external drive.

If you need lots of space to install every game, get a large HDD (7200 rpm is slightly faster than 5400.)

If you want faster loading times, get an SSD instead.

It’s pretty unlikely we’ll be seeing an internal 2 or 3TB SSD just due to the cost of them still. That said, external SSDs over USB 3.0, even on the current gen, massively improve performance of load times and reduced texture pop in. I have a large external
HDD, and a 300gb SSD which I use as my “playing now” drive. I move games to the SSD over that I’ll be playing a lot, and it makes a huge difference. Witcher 3 went from 1:25ish to load from menu down to 20-30 seconds. I can’t suggest enough adding even a small
SSD on for it’s strength of speed, and a large HDD for it’s strength of cheap large storage sizes. Best of both worlds.
