Operating Xbox one and Xbox 360 on the same live account?

Hello, my sis and I both play and I recently got the One for Christmas. I've been trying to set up Xbox One on the same Microsoft account and I got it to connect. However whenever I get on, it kicks my sister off if were on the same game even though I
bought the Xbox One version and uploaded it while she had the Xbox 360 version. Is there a way to get the One to separate the game data because it just automatically uploads the data from the 360 for the game? Or do I have to create a whole new gamertag
and live account to play the same game at the same time? (For clarity I am not trying to play cooperatively with her, just playing the games separately on different tvs at the same time)

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?

Viruses on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 genuine consoles is unheard of. PC's are more prone to viruses. Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 consoles have strong a operating system called Dashboard and are the official internet/online service it connects to is Xbox Live.

You can't simultaneously use the same account for Xbox One and Xbox360. The best thing to do is create a new Gamertag for either you or your sister so each of you have their own.

 

That isn't true. You can be logged into both consoles with the same account at the same time. I do it all the time.

In fact you can be logged into the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Win 10 at the same time with the same account and gametag.

You cannot be logged into 2 360 consoles with the same account at the same time as it signs you out of one and on to the other which is the behavior shown when playing backwards compatible games on the One. As soon as you log in on the One to BC mode you
are logged out on the 360.

I think it is the same game that is the issue. I have this happen in Pinball FX2 when I stay logged into the Win10 version. It won't log you into the 2nd instance of the game starting on the Xbox One.

The easier way is to create a new tag though that creates an issue where a guest can't use the Gold with the 360 from the Gold on Xbox One. If you want to play online at the same time on the 2 consoles you'll both need Gold to do it.

 

So for games that don't also have a 360 version, there should be no issues, but since im playing destiny which has the backwards capability there are issues? I bought the Xbox one version so is there a way to separate the data storage on the accounts so
I can keep my gamertag, but my sister and I will be playing on different game discs? In other words I could keep the same gamertag, but start the game all over again on the xbox one?

 

Playing 2 different and separate games should be fine and in most cases even the same game on the 2 different consoles should work.

My thought is that Destiny is using the same Bungie servers for the 360 and the Xbox One versions of the game, so logging into one console means not being able to stay logged into the other as that would be seen as being logged in from 2 different locations
and apparently isn't allowed by Destiny.

You may be able to find info on the Bungie website but I bet there isn't any way to resolve this for this game other than creating a new gametag for your sister so you can play at the same time.
