Opening Xbox One smartglass friends list crashes the app

Hi.

After the latest update for the Xbox One smartglass on my Lumia 920, the app crashes every time I try to access the friends list, also general responsiveness is worse when using smartglass
as a remote.

Whats up?

Are you trying to add friends through the Smartglass app or through the Games app on Windows Phone? If you can try the following steps and let us know the results!

Xbox.com Friends (Search for a friend and then click 'Add friend' on their profile)

Xbox One console

Error Code 0xc1010003 (0x80040154) when opening Xbox 360 SmartGlass App
Screenshot of the error is included below.

I have already tried to do the following to resolve the error:

Reinstalled App

Enabled Windows 10 Setting Sync

Clean-booted and ran WSReset.exe prior to reinstalling the app.

Tried installing Xbox 360 SmartGlass App from another account

My computer runs Windows 10 Home Edition x64.

Hi there.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the app.

I was able to reproduce this error and those steps worked for me, so there is no reason they should not for you.

Have the same problem with the Surface RT Xbox One app. Will try a reinstall, although not a great fix.

Thx. Reinstall worked. Hope the "lag" issues with the app are gone too

Annoying that a reinstall was required, should think someone tested this before unleashing it???!!

Not sure why it happens. It happened to me too, but I've had no issue since the re-installation.

I found there are some nice improvements in it too.

For example, push notifications for new messages, the friends' list now shows online players at the top (online favourites at the very top) and what they are currently playing, which is great (and an oft-requested feature) and game clips are more easily
accessible (in the menu on the left, below friends and messages and so on).

There are probably other improvements but those are the ones I found most noticeable and useful.
