    Open NAT, acts like closed NAT GTA5 online


    Hello,

    I've had a problem since I Bought GTA on XBox One ?(about half a year ago). I hardly see any people and cannot join my friends. When joining a game everybody seems to leave. In some rare occasions I see somebody. I never have any problems with other onlinegames.



    What Country/State/Province do you live in? Netherlands

    Modem brand & model number: Ziggo Ubee Modem

    Router brand & model number: D-LinkDir 655 setup as bridge

    How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?: Only Xbox One

    Wired or Wireless (for each console): Wired

    Things you have tried: Opened all neccesery ports (also additionial GTA ports), re-installed. Created new character and played tutorial. Put the XBox One in DMZ mode in router ánd modem.

    Is UPnP Enabled? Not available

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: Open no errors

    Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider): Ziggo

    Mass effect 3

    Make sure that your NAT is open because I have noticed that Mass Effect 3 has online difficulty when your NAT is Moderate and Closed

    Can't play games on xbox live

    Hi there. Make sure that your NAT is open. You can usually check this in any online game lobby screen or settings menu. For step by step instructions on checking your NAT follow the link below.

    support.xbox.com/.../nat-type-strict

    If possible log into your high speed modem/router and check to see if your NAT is closed. If your NAT is closed open it and check your firewall settings.

    if the problem doesn't seem to be your NAT settings keep in mind that you have low dl and upload bandwith that may not be optimal for online gaming.

    Appreciate if you can post up the model number of your Ziggo Ubee modem.

    Can you describe in more detail as to how, and why, you've setup your D-Link 655 as a bridge.

    Please keep in mind that there's currently a known issue with Xbox Live core service, which affect if you are trying to do the following: Signing in; creating, managing, or recovering an account; search.

    I suggest that you try troubleshooting your situation after the service alert has been lifted.

    I have played a TON of GTA online , they seem to be THE most pickey servers , every time I would run into what you are describing I would "clear alt mac address" on the xbox and then I would magically be able to join full lobbies instead of just me or maybe
    a few others ...but as tiadara said , there are issues going on at the moment....

    Yes, but on that subject, on my XB1 Test NAT menu selection acts like a switch sometimes. Open becomes Moderate if I check NAT, and Moderate becomes Open. Is that by design?
