    Open letter to Microsoft/Xbox concerning game preservation and consumer choice


    This is an open letter regarding the leaked information about future Xbox hardware. I implore you:

    -Don't alienate your fans who bought games at retail with future hardware.

    -Don't make single player games that require an internet connection.

    -Don't make games that require cloud computing

    -Game Pass and Cloud Gaming are great as additives, not a be-all-end-all form of distribution

    - "Adorably All-Digital" was utterly creepy and destructively utilitarian.

    - I was never able to purchase Forza Horizon 3 and I won't have an option to play it on future hardware.

    - I won't have an option to play a backwards compatible game like Ace Combat 6 on future hardware.

    -Please assure your fans that their purchases (retail or otherwise) will continue to be respected and supported.

    I only played MP COD for years never did the campaigns and therefore didn't get any achievements (or very few), GS isn't a reflection of time played, its a reflection of how many games someone buys and then how much they play campaigns to the point of getting
    achievements.
