    Onscreen keyboard pops up when controller turned off


    Hi everyone,

    Recently I had to switch Hulu accounts on my Xbox One. I use the Hulu app a lot on there. Suddenly now whenever I am using it and turn my controller off (once I pick a show) the onscreen keyboard pops up and doesn't go away. If I just leave my controller to cut off on its own, it doesn't pop up but that's making my batteries run out much quicker obviously. This never happened before which is puzzling. I have tried restarting multiple times and even uninstalling/reinstalling Hulu, but it's still doing it. It doesn't do it when I'm on YouTube. I can't find any info about other people having this issue.

    Please help! It's driving me crazy.

    HELP

    The problem is that the onscreen keyboard or virtual keyboard will not appear whenever I try to search, enter passwords, or text the virtual keyboard never appears the cursor flashes a few times then stops the controller is completely unresponsive the only responsive button on the controller is the home button in the center of the controller which pulls up an onscreen menu that I still can't navigate because no other buttons on the controller are responsive but like I previously said this is only temporary but as soon as I need to pull up the virtual keyboard it happens all over again my virtual keyboard will not appear onscreen

    If you have a smartphone or tablet, use the Smart Glass App, it pops up your regular keyboard onscreen and you can type stuff in super quick.

    wow well please update me when you update that setting, i mean its such a simple change, why cant disable the "onscreen keyboard app" ? i mean all you guys at microsoft have to do is make it so we can have access to the on/off function of the old fasioned
    ''onscreen'' style keyboard app.

    Since you are not able to text what are you using to text with. Keyboard, controller a chat/text pad?

    When you try what messages are you receiving or what happens onscreen when you try?

    note, it is something wrong with the controller as when i turn it off and use my keyboard, it stops
