Only happens when I have 4K video mode on, 1080p works just fine any help would be lovely.

well yes youtube is fine on other devices but my xbox one x and my desktop pc are really the only devices I have that can do 4k video. However the problem doens't happen on any resolution on my one x if the codec is vp9(303) and below, when it shows up as
vp9(315) which I think is 4k 60fps and the number below 315 is 4k 30fps is when the glitches appear and I can have up over 1k of dropped frames from this glitch.

So I guess the problem only shows its ugly head when there is a 4k 60 video but 4k 30, 1080p 60, 30 and anything less works just fine. It used to never do this for the time I've had this xbox one x which is a project scorpio launch.

Now have a headless xbox one, powers on remotely and works for streaming. I did have to set the xbox at 4k for smooth streaming, but this dongle only has 2 modes 1080p @120hz and 4k @60hz, only the latter worked. Would probably be better to get one that
is just 1080p, but fundamentally this works.

I have 50M down . Fortunately , my isp doesn't throttle like the big boys do . To me , it looks like a dying video card . I tested it today after being on less than 5 minuets to rule out heat buildup . Watched a 1.5 minuet 4k video & bam . Screws
up right at the end of the video . Strangely , it also does it when watching non-demanding tech channel videos that stream 4k 30p . I know the original launch Scorpios had an overheating issue , but mine's not one of them . I just hope the console isn't dying
out already . BTY , it plays 4k blu-rays and Netflix 4k just fine . Seems only to affect YouTube .

Sadly i dont have any 4k bluray movie yet to trie or netflix .

I try a 1080p bluray Casino royal and worked fine but the problem is in 4k not lower res .

The Xbox Console will only detect what it's connecting too and not what's "after" your tv. You could try and run HDMI OUT from the Xbox to the TV for just straight video and run Optical out of the Xbox to an optical in port on the
receiver for your audio

That's a shame as it works fine in 1080p when I set my TV connection to HDMI but as soon as I set it to Auto-Detect and set my resolution to 4K UHD, it fails to detect 5.1 Surround Sound support. Why does it work fine in 1080p but fail in 4K?

Oh well, just going to have to deal with TV Audio as I won't be sacrificing 4K/HDR gaming just for surround sound.

Here are my displays:

- 2x OLED55C8PLA - works great in 4k, works great in 1080p, 1440p mode stutters in RDR2

- Acer Predator XB271HUBMIPRZ (1440p display) - 1440p mode stutters in RDR2, 1080p mode super smooth. I also use my PC on this display and sometimes PS4 and they work fine. This is my main gaming display.

- LG 27mb85r-b (1440p display) - 1440p mode stutters in RDR2, 1080p mode is super smooth.

- 6 years old Sony TV (forgot the model, 1080p display) - works great in 1080p

I don't have many 4k games to test right now but I do remember Assassins Creed Oddysey had a very similar problem while For Honor runs fine (at least as far as I remember, this one doesn't have native 4k tho I believe). Red Dead Redemption is the worst case,
to be honest. It's instantly noticeable and never goes away. I still don't understand why it's so bad in 1440p mode while in the more demanding 4k mode it's perfect. A representative of Rockstar Support told me that Red Dead Redemption is rendered always
in 4k and scaling the game to other resolutions is on MS side. Hopefully, you can help me sort it out.
