    I'm planning on getting an xbox x so I want to save my data and saves from my xbox one on some kind of online storage but I can't seem to find anything. I have onedrive but I can't seem to find a way to transfer anything to it.

    Will there always be physical discs?

    Not completely, no. Not until we move from disc based storage. And then our physical copies will be some other form of media. But there are already online and arcade games made with no retail version. I guess that some sort of physical storage unit, such as external memory... will merge with the idea of traditional, stand-alone retail storage units. Sorta like gift cards, phone cards and other cards work these days.

    Or so some people think. The PC boys love them guys.

    You're in luck. Game saves on your Xbox one already save to the cloud on your account, so when you log into your new Xbox One X and download the games, your save files will be there waiting for you!

    You're in luck. Game saves on your Xbox one already save to the cloud on your account, so when you log into your new Xbox One X and download the games, your save files will be there waiting for you!

    What happen when you clear local saved games

    The Xbox One has a specially reserved storage space to keep a local copy of the cloud savegames stored online.

    That storage space is only used to keep a local copy of your savegames to speed up loading, or to store savegames temporarily when your console was not connected online.

    If you clear that save game storage, this storage is cleared.

    If the console was connected online, your savegames are already synced to the cloud, and will be re-downloaded the next time you start a game.

    If there are unsynchronized savegames on your console, because the console was offline, your savegame for that offline play will be lost.
