Online session

I mean when we try to play online, for instance ill send him an invite to my lobby and when he trys to accept it it sends him to the Xbox store same goes for me, on his side as well the option to join my game when on my Xbox profile is greyed out but mine isn't but if I click to join it sends me to the store

May I know what session specifically are you trying to join each other with?

Thanks for the additional information. Have checked it with other games if it does the same thing to isolate the issue?

Try to re-add both of your accounts to refresh it.

Note: Before doing these steps, please make sure that you know exactly the email address linked with your gamertag and the password to it so you can add the correct account again.

1. Remove account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm. When you're finished, select Close.

2. Power cycle:
Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

3. Add account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select Enter.

What do you mean? Sorry.

Is it the game Session: Skate Sim? Does the issue happen to other games?

To isolate the issue, try join with each other using a different game if you could join successfully.

Be sure to check as well if all your game contents are already installed.
In My games & apps, highlight a game (but don't select it).
Press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game and add-ons.
Select the game tile, and then select each checkbox for which items you want to install.
Select Install, to confirm the installation.

Then power cycle your console. Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

Not familiar with that one problem. What does it do / say when you join online?
