    I was playing online and received what looked like a notification at the bottom of the screen. It popped up as usual and stated 'Destiny 2'.

    I do not have destiny 2 installed and the notification itself looked slightly off as in the green box was a different size and the text wasnt aligned in the same way that it normally is.

    To me this screams some sort of hacking as in it was a phishing attenpt to get me open the notification. This is not something i've ever encountered before and its quite concerning.

    Wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences and if this is a gebuine problem or a new one emerging on the new console?

    The difference is that Black Ops was built with security in mind, which has closed most possibilities for the hackers/modders.

    No, there is no way to do this via the web, and there is no possibility to go around that 30days wait time.

    This is a security measure to prevent people (like hackers/phishers) quickly changing the details.

    Just like on PSN and Nintendo, Microsoft charges you to play online so you have a lot more security and have fewer hackers in the system.
