    A few days ago I was playing NBA 2k20 park with some friends. While in a game my friend got booted offline (DDosed?) during the game. My other friend who I was in the party with said that the booter likely obtained the IP address through a website. I
    did some research on this website because I was concerned that this was a huge safety issue. Sure enough my friends IP could be obtained by typing in his Gamertag into the website. My understanding of this website is that if your IP address has been pulled
    through an IP sniffer (maybe a specific one) it is then stored on this website and can easily be obtained by other people for malicious intent, which means you either have to change your Gamertag or IP to prevent future attacks. So I was wondering if a higher
    up in Microsoft/Xbox could have this website taken down for obvious safety reasons. I don't want to share the website name until a support member/someone who can do something contacts me because people with bad intentions who are unaware of the website could
    become aware of it and negatively impact people's lives.

    Thats pretty sad. These freaks have too much spare time or something. A great new hobby for them would be to sit down and finish a 10 000 piece puzzle. When they are finished, it will say GO OUTSIDE.

    First off, you aren't allowed to call out other gamertags on the forums.



    That being said, use the dashboard reporting tools to report them. (choose their tags from the previously played list and look at their bio. Choose report gamertag.). After that, block their gamertags.



    Know that they can't really ban you or steal your account from knowing your IP address.



    There is, however, a program which allows them to "shut off" your internet temporarily. This is called a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack and is illegal in North America (I don't know about other countries). Contact your local police department
    (probably RCMP) and inform them of what happened. Give them the gamertags. The police will work with Xbox to sort out the situation.



    After this is done, contact your service provider and inform them of what happened. The provider should issue you a new IP address.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. Have you attempted to change the privacy & online safety settings by using a different browser or device? The article entitled, "Troubleshoot
    changing online safety or privacy settings on Xbox One    " contains information on how to change the privacy & online safety settings through a browser. This also applies for Windows 10. Once you access the settings, you will see an option that states, "Xbox
    One/Windows 10..." Be sure to let us know the results!

    Follow the steps here to get to the Privacy and Online Saftey Settings at Xbox.com: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox-one-privacy-and-online-safety

    Those will have the options you need to modify to be able to play Minecraft Pocket Edition and other platforms.
