Online safety settings to allow Multiplayer and Clubs

I understand you need help on your Minecraft game. Let me help you out with that.

The settings are actually accessible online for them to play multiplayer on the game and since they already have a family account, I am sure they also have an organizer to that family and only organizer of the family can change these settings for the child accounts.

To do that, check the information first on who is the organizer through here:

https://account.microsoft.com/family

Once you have already done that, make sure to open a new browser and log in to the organizer account on this page:

https://account.xbox.com/settings

From there, you need to allow everything from online safety and privacy settings most especially that will enable them to play multiplayer.

Once done, you just have to wait for the update to take effect within a few hours and they can already play the game through multiplayer.

It says

"You cannot play <on Realms> or <online multiplayer> because of how your microsoft account is set up. Please ensure your online safety settings allow Multiplayer and Clubs. See instructions for changing these settings at aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp"

I have clicked the submit button, and aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp does not work.

"You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft account is set up. Review and change your privacy settings at aka.ms/accountsettings."

This was breaking me. But with hours of searching and trying different things this was the key:

To join a Realm in the first place, the xbox setting You can create and join Clubs must be set to Allow.

So even though I had allowed my child to join multiplayer games, they still could not join my Realm.

You can adjust Join Clubs on the Xbox One console or in a browser.

Xbox One Console:

Login as the parent/adult in the family

Account > Family Settings

Choose child's profile

Privacy & online safety

Xbox Live privacy

View details & customise

Friends & clubs

You can create and join clubs: ALLOW

Communication & multiplayer

You can join multiplayer games: Allow

You can play with people outside of Xbox Live: Allow

In a Browser:

Privacy Settings

Choose the Child Account you wish to amend

Choose Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety

Adjust the following:

You can play with people outside of Xbox Live: Allow (not sure if this is needed, but as Minecraft is cross-platform I adjusted this)

You can create and join clubs: ALLOW

You can join multiplayer games: Allow

• go to https://account.xbox.com/en-us/Settings
• Click on privacy and online safety.
• Click on Xbox one/Windows 10 online safety.
• then set the create and join clubs setting to allow.

There should be a tabb named online safety for Xbox one/WIndows 10 and then there is a setting that allows the cration of and joining of clubs
