Online safety settings for multiplayer

Have xbox live account, in the online safety settings the option for allowing access to multiplayer games shows as allow but when I try to join a multiplayer game in Minecraft I get an error message saying I can't because of the Xbox live security settings.

Am I missing something?

Weirdly it was working fine the other morning but started not letting me join in the afternoon without me changing any settings in the online account.

Enable the "Join multiplayer games" option from the
privacy settings on your account (Privacy & online safety->Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety).

 

I have Xbox Live Gold but I can't play any multiplayer feature

It may be privacy settings go to settings - account - privacy and online safety - xbox live privacy - custom - view details & customise - communication & multiplayer - you can join multiplayer games - allow

Thanks for bringing this issue to us! So first things first, what device is Minecraft played on? Is the account a minor or adult account? Let us know so we can further assist in the matter at hand!

 

Minecraft is played on an android phone or an android tablet (same issue). Believe the Xbox live account to be set up as an adult account as I can go in and change various settings without any apparent restrictions

Had a look through the trouble shooting guide and this is what I currently see in my settings





I can't currently show you what the Minecraft message comes up with as it is saying it can't currently connect to realms. Yesterday and earlier today the message was:





Will try again later.

Am I right in thinking that the settings are correct and that there isn't anything elsewhere that affects that functionality?

privacy and online safety settings.Minecraft allows players to build with a variety of different blocks in a 3D procedurally generated world, requiring creativity from players. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting,
and combat.

Is there a way to reset the Xbox live account or something?

I just don't get why the settings seem to say that online multiplayer is allowed yet I get this error message.

Make sure to allow your Privacy settings so it may help you play with others. make sure the "share activity is allowed".

Finally figured it out, a realm counts as a club so the jointing of clubs also needs to be allowed. All working ok now.
