Online is Broken

You know guys, since the latest patch Online (no matter what you play) is broken. I can't play in Lobbies as I consistently get booted out. I spent a better of two hours trying to play with friends, only to play two matches. Secondly, can't play my friends
in Exhibition, because we both keep getting booted out. Ranked has become an exercise in frustration, where almost every other match you play either gets desynced, suffers severe lag, and or simply stops. I can't really gripe about rage quitters because the
frequency of crashes is through the roof. I'm so SICK and tired to losing to less skilled players simply because the Net Code no longer understands the inputs. I've talked to several of my buds and they are all experiencing these issues. Even when I'm watching
Max's vids, half the time he can't tech grab and or weird abnormalities occur.

This needs to be fixed pronto... I know it's not my network as I'm running 31mps and my network is set to Open.

Honestly, I can't be the ONLY person here use getting aggravated with these issues. I'm to the point, I'm thinking about deleting KI and never looking back.

Same problems here.

Well the reason for that is the population. We all know the population dropped immense compared to the actual launch population. Many peopel quit Halo 4 or went back to Reach, or complete other titles.

Less people playing this game means a less probability for good hosts. The game is based around a P2P networking system (like most Xbox games), so it's no surprise you will meet someone from Mexico and like 10 people from europe have to play on his host,
lol. I'm from Europe btw and searching for a dominion match can take up to 5 or 6 minutes. Also, everytime someone quits in our matches it kicked at least one of our team mates as well. It's annoying and frustrating.

So, you are getting some lag in games and a few odd results with gameplay.

This is how it has been for me since the first game of H4.

But......at least you can get matches in multiplayer. Most times I log on I can't even get a match made game!

It just searches and searches and searches. I end up just playing solo SpOps or campaign.

There is no use complaining.....nobody cares, least of all Microsoft (or, contrary to popular paranoia, the American NSA)

I'm not being mean or sarcastic when I say, Get Over It. That's just the way things are buddy. We pay our money and either get, or don't get, what we expect. Try reading the (rather long) list of disclaimers in the printed material.

 

What NAT type do you have?

 

It's set to Open. I notice these desync issues more during the 6pm to 8pm (cst) than let's say early morning.

 

Might have something to do with overload... who knows. It's just annoying.

 

For me the online is very good.

 

I have the same exact issues you've described. I'm running a 105Mbps/50Mbps connection, hardwired into the xbox with a dual band gigabit port router, cat 6 cable, and my router has the upnp feature on, so it's NAT OPEN.

Online for me has become unplayable. The lag and glitches that happen in matches ruin the fun for me. Heres a list of things I encounter: --Skipping frames when going for a punish and i get punished instead, animations not showing correctly, --frame data
not making sense (for example I do a frametrap and my opponent somehow stuffs me while in block stun) (another example, I correctly block a skull -teleport mixup by spinal but I still get hit, also, lag makes his teleport nearly safe and unreactable) --laggy
sabrewulfs and sadiras are impossible to react to and I end up losing most of the time because I can't react to their jittery animation jumps and dashes and missing frames, --Breaking the correct strength auto double but the game reads that I input the wrong
strength, --Breaking with the wrong strength but the game reads that I input the correct strength--shadow moves have altered timing to break online making it difficult to find the rythym to break them and making it super risky to bother attempting (against
some chars one botched attempt could cost you half or more of your lifebar)

--teching grabs sometimes doesn't register, --inputing instinct command HP+HK doesn't register and I'm left standing like a dork and get punished, --loading/vs screen hangs and game freezes, only way to fix is quitting, --desyncs during matches, --matches
randomly losing connection, -- auto doubles mid combo being blocked by opponent, --being matched with the same 10 opponents for hours on end-- lobbies crashing and kicking everyone out (lobbies are the worst for lag, the laggiest matches happen in lobbies)
And probably alot more but I can't remember more.

This game is amazing but in order to enjoy it and be able to play properly the net and overall online enviroment has to be stable otherwise matches become unplayable and all that you learn, setups, frametraps, framedata becomes irrelevant. It becomes a lagsploitation
fest that irritates the user especially if he knows he's losing to something he shouldn't be losing to. This had never happened to me before in the early stages, I'm guessing all their patching messed something up in the netcode or the influx of more people
with mc donalds wifi are beginning to destroy online.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one. In truth, I've found that if I play KI early in the morning, I don't have near the issues. I think that the severs just aren't handling the load very well. I watched some friends play in a Lobbie (cause the Lobbie was
greyed out for me... Grrrrr) and every much was plagued by slow down and desyncs. A shame really. Stupid McConnections!

 

I take that back... While the online issues aren't as bad as they are in the evening, they still persist. I got desynced while playing a Rank 14 Sabrewulf. For the first half of the match I (Sadira) completely destroyed him. I got him down to just half a
red bar left and then we experienced a bit of slow down. Afterwards, I couldn't counter break, and the controlls felt like I was hurdling Sadira through a Hurricane. Needless to say he won. I rebooted KI and everything was fine from that point going forward.

 

Yep, this is an issue that has gotten worse for me as time has gone on. Before the Spinal patch dropped, I had virtually no problems with lagging or dsyncs at all. But it seems that as each patch has arrived, so the reliability of the online has dropped
with each successive patch.

 

I agree. I played just a little bit this morning and got desynced three times. Frustrated...
