    Online gaming issues with xbox game pass ultimate


    Hi everyone, i hope you are all well

    So for the past week i've been experiencing horrible network issues. I've had technicians come and fix the internet and now every time I do a speedtest on my laptop, i get a ping of about 12 and under and a download speed of 130mbps. However, when I play online on my xbox one, the games lags soooooo bad to the point that sometimes the screen freezes for a good 3-5 seconds and then the game speeds up at like double speed for like 2 seconds to put me up to date with what happened in those 3-5 seconds i was frozen (You know what I mean?).

    The thing is a while ago I didn't have any problems, the position of my router, my xbox and everything is the same as it was few months ago when I was gaming with no network issues. The only thing that changed since then is the fact that before i had xbox live gold but now i have xbox game pass ultimate.

    I know it's a stupid question probably, but do you guys think that the issue is related to the fact that i have the game pass and somehow it interferes with the internet/servers or wtv? (sorry if it's dumb im not much of a tech guy)

    Tbh it's very frustrating spending my entire day running errands and doing work just for the network to do this to me when I reach that one part of the day i'm looking forward to... Online gaming issues with xbox game pass ultimate :(

    Subscription not working with family

    They will not have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on their account but they'll be able to have access to the game pass library and play online games due to you having the Xbox game pass ultimate.

    What is the exact issue that they're experiencing?

    Keep in mind that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass Console and Game Pass PC. So when your GP Ultimate subscription renews, that will keep you playing online. You'll be fine as long as that subscription payment goes through without
    issue.

    Also, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is not required. If you’re on Xbox an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is needed to play online multiplayer.

    Also, if you purchase Game Pass first, then it would be converted to Ultimate and if you cancel ultimate, you would lose your Game Pass subscription. So if you do cancel Ultimate, do it first before you downgrade to just Game Pass.

    Which subscription are you downgrading to, is it Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Core?

    If Game Pass Core, you will only have access to just over 30 games that are part of the Game Pass catalogue, and online multiplayer.

    If Xbox Game Pass, you will have access to all the Game Pass games on the Xbox Console, and no online multiplayer.

    If PC Game Pass, then you will have access to all the Game Pass games on the PC including EA Play, and online multiplayer.

    Just to make extra sure:

    Are you having Game Pass Ultimate, or just Game Pass (without Ultimate)?

    If you say your sister can't play online Multiplayer, then you (or she) would need a separate Gold Membership or an upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate.

    Game Pass allows you to play the games available in the Game Pass subscription. But to be able to play online Multiplayer, a Gold subscription or Game Pass Ultimate subscription (which contains Xbox Live Gold) would be necessary.
