    Ongoing Mic Echo


    Across two headsets and two controllers, I have had a party chat echo issue. I do not believe it to be audio bleed, as even hectic gameplay does not appear to echo, but only party chat. The only change I've made thats affected it is nearly halving my volume to a point that makes it extremely difficult to hear the party chat over game audio. I've reset all audio settings to default and continued to have problems.

    There is a real chance I have misunderstood or accidentally misrepresented the problem, and as such am willing to sit and walk through the problem. Anything to just make the problem go away and be able to chat with confidence again.

    For reference, this is on the Xbox One, a first party and recently updated controller, and a Nubwo headset. (I do not recall the brand of my previous headset, apologies.)

    If you can hear the echo of the party means that it's not originated by you, that would be someone else in the party that has the echo and it's the reason why you hear your self

    If others can hear echo on their end but you can't, means you need to lower the headset volume and the Mic monitoring to reduce the echo

    To fix the echo you should change mic because some of my friends had the same problem and they changed mic and now they aren't echoing

    Try cleaning the jack with a qtip dipped in alcohol, and clean the headphone jack the same.
