Ongoing issues since whatever happened last Wednesday (streaming mostly) <SOLVED>

So, since whatever update Microsoft attempted to do last Wednesday (Jan 30) that made alot of people's XBOX's have a black screen, mine included, I've been having some ongoing connectivity issues mostly related to streaming.

Whenever I attempt to stream from either youtube or Netflix, after I assume they timeout I get a message that states "Sorry, looks like our service isn't working right. To check xbxox live service status, go to https://support.xbox.com" At the time of this
writing, everything is green minus some COD issues.

Secondly, when attempting to stream my XBOX to my PC, my PC sees my XBOX and turns it on remotely, but cannot connect to it after that. Getting the message "We couldn't connect to you console. make sure the console is still on (it is) and connected to the
same network as the device. (both my pc and xbox are wired in)"

For troubleshooting on my part, I've reinstalled both netflix and youtube to no joy. I've also gone into the network setting on the xbox and have gone through every option that I can see, ensuring it is connected to the internet and XBOX Live, which both
are true.

I'm at a loss as to where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: So, I solved my own issue after some more digging. This probably seems like an obvious solution but I'm new to the XBOX game and didn't know this was a thing. So anyway, all I had to do was clear the cache. Simply held down the power button until it
shut itself down. Powered it back up. It did its little loading thing instead of going directly into my profile and bam, everything worked.

I was going to delete the post but just in case anyone comes across the same issues and wants to have the same D'OH moment I did. There ya go.
