    Oneguide has no sound when switching from other game or app - requires hard boot


    My xbox 1 s has no sound coming from tv when switching from game to oneguide (TV). When I switch back to a game or app there is sound. This just affects oneguide and requires a hard reboot to get the sound back. this just started a few weeks ago and I
    can't find a fix in the forums. Does anyone have a solution?

    console shuts down

    This is happening to a few of us on reddit. Its switching between youtube and other apps from gaming when the console randomly shuts down. Booting back up everything is fine but then it will randomly do it again when switching apps. Its something on microsofts
    end it seems.

    no sound from the OneGuide app

    nevermind, I completely powered down my cox cable box and that fixed it.

    The one thing with the Oneguide is that it is a pre-installed app on the Xbox Operating system. In order to troubleshoot this please take a look at the following troubleshooting articles:


    If the problem persists, try doing a
    soft factory reset of the console,
    Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out first and let us know the results.

    Sounds like something crashed within the TV app itself. Does your OneGuide work? Have you tried a Hard-Shutdown of the console and rebooting? I assume something incorrect happened when it pulled channel data.

    My receiver has that ARC so shouldn't it be able to switch the sound when switching inputs?
