    Oneguide doesn't launch. What fix/alternative?


    Hey.

    I've got my setup using the passthru/oneguide on my Xbox One X but the last week or so it's taken 10 plus launches each time I've tried to use oneguide in order to get it to work.

    Today it's given up completely. Reseating cables and rebooting everything has made no difference. Just get an error saying it took too long to start or it just shows an totally black screen and does nothing.

    Any ideas or suggestions or do I just need to recable everything and forget about this feature now?

    Can I ask you if the feature was working correctly a week ago?The Xbox official seems to offer some help that you can refer to.

    How to reset your Xbox console to factory defaults | Xbox Support

    As well as I understand that the feature stopped supporting some features like online programs a long time ago, have you checked the HDMI devices or USB TV tuners connected to your Xbox? Are they still working properly?

    If you have checked the other devices with no problems, you can try resetting your Xbox one console to try and see if that solves your problem.

    I don't recall an announcement that passthru was not going to be available at launch for the UK only the OneGuide and STB control!

    Where is the official MS announcement that states we will be getting a fix in the spring?

    "see if they can fix this trilogy", so, what happens if they do release a DLC alternative ending that doesn't measure up to the expectations of the ones demanding it, then what?...:)

    It is not just to our awesome neighbors to the north (Canada), OneGuide is US only for the launch period. We look forward to launching OneGuide in Canada in the near future.

    We look at the Xbox One as an ever evolving eco-system. The console you see today will not be the same console 6 month/1 year/ etc. down the line. If you take the 360 as an example, from the blades dashboard to what it is today, what a difference! Even in
    the video/audio quality it is much better than it was. The same will be true here, this is the first step in the evolution of “next gen” consoles. Please hang in there. We will be bringing out updates to fix and improve things like this. Thank you for understanding.

    HDMI Input channel gone from one guide

    I fixed it by going into settings>TV & OneGuide>OneGuide. Under "Advanced" select "Clear OneGuide".
