Having an issue when my console is using a wired connection, it has all kinds of random bad behavior. Best and shortest way to describe is the console acts like a Windows machine does when connectivity issues occur with lock ups/etc. Running "Detailed
Network Statistics" shows 9-15% packet loss and poor bandwidth. I've tried a couple different cables from different sources and the poor behavior is consistent. Once I switch over to wireless, all problems go away. I know my options are...Send the console
back to MS for repair or use wireless. But I'm curious if anyone else in the community has had a similar experience?

    :)

maybe the ethernet cable you're using is damaged, try to connect a pc using the same cable and check if you're able to connect to internet that way

Do you have a PC/Laptop that you could connect on the same wire that you were using for the Xbox? If you can do that, and test to see if the PC has the same packet loss issues. That would tell you if the issue is more likely with the Xbox, or with the
    connection.

Are you connecting directly to the router, or is there a wall connection between your Xbox and the router? If there is a wall connection, then the wire in the wall could be the issue.

Have you tried factory resetting the router and setting it up again? Then clearing the MAC address on the console itself ?

Hello - I have not performed a factory reset/reconfigure on my router and i've not cleared the MAC on the console. I did perform a factory reset and offline update last week.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Console or controller problem?

How does the controller and console behave when you connect it to your console using an USB cable?
