    One paddle on my Elite Series 2 isn’t working, help!


    I just got an Elite Series 2 controller as a gift today and I started using it but realized that the bottom left paddle wasn’t working. Believe me, I made sure the button beneath the paddle was clicking and that it was configured to an action in the settings. Nothing. I took the paddle off and could manually click the button and it wasn’t sticky or anything, but it just didn’t work. Do I need to return the controller or is there an easy fix im overlooking?

    Hi,Noah! I'm Luis, a fellow Xbox Gamer . Thanks for reaching us out here.

    First try updating the controller

    ress the Xbox button  to open the guide.

    Under Profile & system, select Settings.

    Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.

    On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.

    If it says there’s no update available, your controller is current. If it says “Update,” follow the steps provided.

    Once your controller is updated, disconnect the USB cable and try connecting wirelessly again.

    If that does not wotk check your button mapping

    If you’re seeing unexpected controller behavior across all game and apps, it could mean that your controller button configuration has been remapped. To check your current controller button settings:

    Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

    Under Profile & system, select Settings.

    Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.

    On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select Configure.

    Carefully review the current mapping for each of the buttons on your controller. You can also select Restore to default to set the controller back to its original button mapping.

    If it is still not working I would suggest you to have it replaced

    Xbox elite controller 2

    Each Elite controller series 2 comes with 1 set of paddles. You can order replacement paddles, thumbsticks etc.

    Series 1 paddles, thumbsticks is not compatible with series 2.

    I don’t know how to remove the paddles on my Elite Series 2 controller.

    The back paddles just pull off. My Elite Series 1 & 2 are the same.
