One of my Family members cant play online via my Gold subscription

Just a friendly reminder though that setting up a family setting does not mean that the game and subscriptions will be shared to their account, it is a feature where you can manage a child account.

There's no need to deactivate Gold on your account so long as you designate your console as your home one and your child's account is also logged onto that XBox. See this article -

"Friends or family members with their own
gamertags coming over to play? No problem. They can sign in and play online multiplayer games, even if you sign off."

If I'm not logged in using my passkey, my kids should be able to use my Live Gold subscription when the Xbox One is set to Home.

To my knowledge, these Games for Gold games are not available for purchase to secondary members of a Gold Family Pack. You can only get them as the primary member of the family gold pack. The only alternative I see is if your family members wish to play
these games you can download it to 1 console initially and all the profiles on that console can play it online or offline. They just wouldn't be able to play the games on multiple consoles.

I'm getting this same error trying to upgrade from a single gold subscription to a family gold subscription. Using a visa (not pre-paid or anything of the sort), same one my recurring gold subscription is on. Trying to upgrade via the website gets a glitch
page.
