So I just beat the game. if you reload and existing id, you keep your talents, weapons, and armor, but you DO NOT keep your paragon and/or renegade points. If you start with a new character; your stats are reset and the only thing you can take with to the
next game is ONE talent....kind of sucks...I was hoping to load up with a sentinal with some armed combat talent

Yes, the update applies to all save files.

The main purpose of Legendary skills isn't improving the skill, it allows for continuing to level.

Before you would max out at level 81 because of how the leveling system works, now you can level and level all you want. Take any easy to level skill, regardless of any perks, and just level the bleep out of it.

Oooo! I hate those bear traps! If they would just clamp onto who tripped them, Lydia wouldn't need any armor at all.

Legendary mode sounds a lot like Prestige in the Call of Duty games. One reason why I don't play those, except with my girls, well that and I'm horrible at them... old brain, slow processor. I don't want to give all my stuff back for a bit of meaningless
(to me) recognition.

Skyrim at least gives you a chance to reinvent yourself when you trade in a perk. Does it work on characters created prior to the update? My first character has several 100 level skills. I'm still hesitant to do it with my second character though. I'll think
on how I want to proceed.

Lady, you have good eyes, I'm not sure how I didn't see that spider/web yesterday, I even knew she was there because my daughters feed her crickets from the yard. How she didn't bite me before I brushed her off I'm not sure? She is back this morning, huge...
well fed. I rode horses at a young age as well. They were clearly not as worried about spiders as I was, I would get down and walk around if they were heading for a web and I could actually see it before it wrapped around my head....

I have only just started the Solsteim main story arc with my second character. I'm going to have to deal with Miirak soon tho, he takes every other dragon soul from me now.... I am going to kick his fanny! I think I'm going to take Aranea Ienith, priestess
of Azura, with me when I go back to Solsteim, it's a rough place. It is a shame we can not recruit the formidable Illia (Darklight Tower) more than once. Since I made her steward at Lakeview, I miss those lethal Ice spells of hers. Give her her mothers staff
and pull up a bar stool while she roasts Bandits, Necromancers, Mages, Dragur, whomever is unlucky or idiotic enough to get in her way.

I have been away from Skyrim too long apparently... So this Legendary option is, for the most part, reclaiming, then redistributing perks from the skill tree you opt to label as Legendary? I've not reached 100 in any skill yet on this play through, I'll
have to think on that for awhile.

I love my Sneak and Archery perks, those are the two closest to reaching a hundred for my second play through, who is similar to your current character, 2nd cousin maybe? ; ). There are a couple skill trees I wish I had put perks elsewhere.

FYI, and I'm sure you know this, where a light can lead to arrows or ice spikes in my noggin, I've found I can avoid most if not all pressure plates by hugging the walls in dark places where they cannot be readily seen. I recall only once or twice being
set on fire due to blundering into a pressure plate in the dark. Trip wires are more problematic, though, thankfully less prevalent. I also miss most of the hanging bones that alert nearby enemies.

This is neither here nor there but in real life I face planted into a big fat Orb Weaver's web this morning. I guess I do that in Skyrim too....yes I screamed like a little girl, in fact my own little girls laughed all the way to school! Spiders!

I agree with your assessment of mages. I enjoyed the Illusion class, with some conjuring, but you're right...it started to get repetitive after a while. Destruction was underwhelming. For my money, a sneaky archer / assassin is as good as it gets in Skyrim.
