One Guide not able to change channels **** QIP7100

Need help... Not able to change channels with controller through one Guide. Xbox detects cable box but I think i need the remote code for the set up box to manually make it work. Thank you.

Not able to change channels with xbox controller or voice command

Yesterday, I was able to use my xbox controller, voice commands and cable box remote control to change TV channels. Last night and today , I can barley change channels with any of them. For instance if I use the one guide for channel 529, it will do nothing
or possibly change to channel 5 or 2 or something. Same with voice command. Also, now my cable box remote barely works. Not good.

DirecTV and Xbox One: will not change channels

I set up One guide and I am able to navigate it; however, the channels will not change. It has logged my favorite channels but again, the channel will not change. When I go into One Guide and say one of the green titles, it asks which one and provides
item numbers but again the channel does not change. I have made three failed attempts at chatting with an online representative (2 hours without assistance). In fact, I am on my fourth trial in another window and I am holding the telephone to my ear hoping
someone will answer soon. The device cost so much money and I want to utilize everything it promises. HELP.................. I'm trying not to get upset, but the elevator music is making me a little batty. Suggestions please!

Hi JohnJohnTime. Who is your TV provider? AT&T? Comcast? Frontier?

Do you have a Kinect or IR extension cable? Those are required to send IR to your STB.

If you do have one set up, you can go to TV & OneGuide settings -> Device control -> Cable/sat box -> Enter a remote code and enter in (in priority order):

-2378

-1998

I have the same problem with a Verizon Fios Motorola QIP7100P2. I even went to
http://www.ueisupport.com/ and tried all the codes and nada. One thing I did notice is that whenever I did enter the code it would automatically add a "C" to the code I.E. C2378.

I would love for someone to post a solution to this. If I find one I will be sure to share.

It's been nearly a year since I've been able to use One Guide due to bad channel information. As my cable provider continues to add and move channels these changes rarely appear in One Guide. I have make several attempts to get help with this through forums,
chat, email and report submission on my Xbox One. I really don't understand how TiVo can update new channels or channel changes within 24-48 hours, but it takes months and multiple requests to get updates to the One Guide channel listings. There needs to
be a method to either submit these updates via a form or allow me to add channels manually to my One Guide. Once again I am listing the channel additions, changes and bad listings below:

It worked all fine and I could see the picture and volume just cant change the channel through the one guide but No I don't have the Kinect I can change my channel with my regular remote on the xbox one but I cant use the one guide with it so its kind if
pointless, but I was wondering would the Xbox one media remote work for changing the channels through the one guide? or do I need the Kinect no matter to change channels through one guide? Kinda pointless if I cant use the one guide and just my regular remote
on my xbox, ill go out and get the media remote if that's what I need
