One Guide - Freeview Sydney Australia - No info available

I'm running both hd homerun and plex after giving up on oneguide.

After running with plex for a period (using hd homerun tuners for tv reception) i ended giving up plex too, for tv recording. Plex still requires external guide data (i used freepg) but the guide on plex on xbox is pretty ****. If you are using plex on a
pc, the guide on plex is fine.

I ended up buying an annual hd homerun dvr subscription ($35) and am happy with that. The hd homerun app on xbox is simple but effective. Guide data is fine and tv dvr is simple but works reliably.

Plex is now just used for movies and tv series.

So for me the $35 annual hd homerun dvr subscription is worth the no hassles (but basic) tv recording.

I have managed to get Kodi working, but it's slow compared to the turner. Just not the same experience but it has a working guide.

If you go to Whirlpool you'll find info on how to set it up or search online and you'll also find the step by step guide

I gave up using Kodi as I still prefer the Freeview tuner (without the guide working).

I think this is basically where we're at right now. Our only real option would probably be to get something like kodi working. If anyone has had any success with this, please let us know.

Sorry mate but I just disagree with you. The ACCC states that they can:

• accept and record your reports of information about business practices and behaviours that are of concern to you. We will respond to your report where we have information that may help you, or you have asked a question about your rights or obligations under
  the law.

I have concerns regarding their ability to honestly deal with this issue. I think alot of other customers do too as evidenced by the multitude of comments on this page. The continual closing of threads and reporting this issue as resolved is simply not ethical
practice.

The issues have been going on so long now that's its obvious they don't care about existing consumers. They certainly don't care about OneGuide or TV functionality. A simple fix to keep users happy doesn't appear something that will ever happen. I agree
it's time to craft a form letter and have everyone send it to the ACCC.

I never heard back from freetv Australia either they completely ignored my questions.
