if you buy Sims 4 for your daughter on her account it won't be affected by her console being set as the Home Xbox for your son as it works off her age and any permissions set on her account, not his.

you can set your son's xbox as the Home console for both your account and your daughter's and then set your daughter's xbox to sign you in automatically when she turns it on and both will be able to use your Xbox Live

if you do this I recommend setting a Pass Key for purchases so she doesn't accidentally make any in game purchases. this link explains how to set that up.

so in summary;

make your sons Xbox Home for your account and your daughters.

set your daughter's xbox as your son's Home xbox and to automatically sign you in.

set a passkey on purchases on your account on your daughter's xbox.

this will give them both access to your Live Gold subscription and digital games as well as access to each other's games.

when your Gold subscription expires you can then either renew it on your account or purchase it for either your son or daughter and they will both be able to play online with just the 1 subscription.

Let me explain it for you.

No matter what console a profile is signed into it will always be able to play its digital games and use any subscription it has.

Each profile can set one console as its home console and any other profile on that console can then play any digital games that profile owns and use any subscription that it has. (game/subscription sharing)

Each profile can switch which console it has set as the home console FIVE times a year.

So in your situation it would probably be best to purchase the gold on one of your children's accounts say your daughters then you would set your sons console as your daughters home console then your son would be able to play roblox and get online by sharing
your daughters gold now keep in mind your daughter would still be able to use her gold on her console also as long as it is connected to the internet. Or if you purchase the gold on your sons account you would set your daughters console as his profiles home
console and she would be able to use/share his gold subscription. and he would still be able to use it on his console as long as its connected to the internet.

Then you can cancel the subscription under your account. Hopefully you only paid for the one month subscription.

If you paid for longer you may be able to get ahold of xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and explaining the situation to them and they maybe able to cancel the subscription for you on your account and then give you a 25 digit code for
the time to put the code onto one of their accounts.

Your best bet is to make the home consoles on each of the children's account. This way they can share the gold subscription and games.
