    I’m running Windows 10 on a Dell laptop, but my problem has shown up on Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 11. (I had to downgrade because my current machine won’t run Windows 11.) Over the years, I’ve gone through a number of different laptops, either Dell or Lenovo, but my problem has followed me from machine to machine and OS to OS.

    My problem is that one particular app (Microsoft Ultimate Word Games [MUWG]) will not connect to my Microsoft account. Several other apps (Microsoft Minesweeper, Microsoft Solitaire, Microsoft Sudoku and Microsoft Mahjong) have no trouble connecting to my profile, but MUWG does. It’s been suggested that I create a new Microsoft Account and copy my “Users” folder (which contains my Account information) to the new Account, but this problem only affects one app, so a new Account doesn’t make sense to me.

    By the way, I’m having the same problem on my Android tablet with the Android app; I don’t know if that’s relevant, but I’m just putting that out there

    I’ve posted it several times on the Casual Games Facebook page, but I’ve not heard anything new in well over a year, so I’m asking here to see if a larger audience might have some information or suggestions. Has anyone else run into this kind of problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?

    Maybe you can try to create the account in InPrivate Mode of Edge, press Ctrl+Shift+N to open the InPrivate Window (In Chrome same shortcut and

    similar feature)

    Tommy, I had created the original account at sign-in. I created another account (using a Gmail address) through the Accounts page on the Settings app. I deleted that account from the same place, then I managed to log in on my Firefox InPrivate browser and attempted to recreate that account through the website (account.microsoft.com) and was told I could not reuse that email. Is there any way to get around that?

    Regarding to your information I assume that you can't link your account t o MUWG.

    According to your description, you can't link your account to this game on any device.

    It seems like an account problem, could you make a test that creates a new Microsoft Account and try to link this account to this game?

    • My default browser is Firefox; are you talking about the private Browsing mode?
    • Is there a "private" mode for Windows? does Safe Mode qualify?
