Once the next major title update of minecraft comes around, could I still play on the world...

with a world wide release with such a major title as Halo it could take some time for Waypoint to update fully..i would just wait a few days give the severs some time to process all that data that it is getting at once and go from there

Minecraft coming next month....And never was announced as a launch title.

ESO was still in beta last fall,how could you think it will come as a launch title.

For the rest,it's a question of taste,Dead Rising 3,Watchdogs,AC Black Flag (even if i don't like the franchise),Tomb Raider are good,fun games....

This fall with games like Sunset Overdrive,Forza Horizon 2,Far Cry 4,ect....More open world games coming...

^^^^ That a hundred percent. The whole policy isn't some crafty plan by Microsoft to think they can let the cream rise to the top, the entire point of it is to, once again, protect the major publishers. (Which seems to be a theme, doesn't it?) By shackling
indie developers to large publishers, it ensures that even if indie games were to skyrocket, become major money makers, outsell and (to borrow a word tossed a lot around here,) out-innovate anything EA or its ilk can offer, it still guarantees that these publishers
will still prosper off their cut of the proceeds, even though they are literally contributing NOTHING but 'solutions' to problems crafted by Microsoft.

The next big indie title could happen on PS4, or on Wii U, because the more indie titles are floating around, the more likely something is going to take off. Minecraft gets away with so much (seriously, Notch was very, VERY vocal about his disapproval of
both the X1's reveal, and Windows 8's policies,) because it all but prints money. Microsoft wasn't supporting an indie when it accepted Minecraft, it was recognizing a game that was going to 100% pay off a hundredfold. It's hugely successful, and Microsoft
was very fortunate to lock it down while it was still in the middle of a meteoric rise, but the next big thing could come from a company that has zilch to do with MS.

At this point, World War Z. So many great titles coming though that I could see that easily being updated.

If the console is stuck updating, try to turn off the console, and hold the Bind button (the small button next to the USB ports on newer Xbox 360 consoles, or the small button next to the Memory Unit slots on older 360 consoles), and keep that button held
down when you power up the console.

As for your Minecraft world:

If you are still able to somehow boot the console, and copy the savegame over to an USB drive, you can go to a working Xbox 360 that can connect online, and load your world there.

Then, with an updated Xbox 360 Minecraft, move your world to the cloud.

Now comes the hard part: Find someone with a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" (not the newer Xbox One "Minecraft" without the "Xbox One Edition").

You can then download your world into that "Minecraft Xbox One Edition", and then this world can be imported into "Minecraft".
