On the Xbox controller asking for a alternative manual mac address where do I find this

Microsoft Locked the wireless alternate mac address on the new xbox one s , this means if you have to manually input the wireless mac address you cant, even if you manually input the wireless alternate mac address it wont take after the console restarts..this
is bad new gamers, you been warned...if you need to manually enter your alternate mac address then dont buy a new xbox one s.

also noted that every game console lets you change the wireless mac address, even the original xbox one lets you change the alternate mac address to the one you need to use...but the new xbox one s locked us out in changing the wireless mac address manually

The manual ip address will be the problem, it happens sometimes. Set it to auto and use DHCP Reservation on your router and reserve the ip address you want based on the Xbox mac address

It will achieve the same thing but hopefully stop you having to test each time

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with your Mac Address settings. The best way to have the Disney Circle work would be to manually set up a static IP address to do that you'd need to
go to your "Settings" under "Network" find the "Advanced Settings". In there take note of your Wireless MAC or Wired MAC depending what internet connection you are using. Then select Alternate Mac Address and set it to manual and reenter the MAC address there.
Doing that will keep your MAC address from changing. Keep in mind that anyone clearing the Alternate MAC address would cause it to change. You may want to try setting up a parental restriction from your child's account to be blocked from accessing the settings.

Instead of using a manual ip address put your Xbox ip address back on auto, then go to this screen on your router:-

Click on the DHCP Reservation button

Put in your Xbox mac address (to find it look here:-

And then enter an ip address for your Xbox choose 192.168.1.150 for example

Click Apply/Save etc and restart your router and then your Xbox

That will basically do the same thing as a manual ip address. Based on your Xbox mac address it will reserve it the same ip address each time, then forward your ports to that ip address (1.150 in my example) that should resolve your test connection each
time.
