On startup "Your TV signal was lost ..."

I have an Xbox One S that was hooked up to a satellite box, which was removed, and the Xbox sat dormant for some time. I discovered it hasn't been updated in a while and brought it out to my main TV and updated it. Now every time I start it up I get the above message because it used to be set up for the satellite box which is now gone. I have to push the "X" silver button on remote to get it to go to the home screen. I want it to start up and go direct to the home screen, but the only guides I can find online to do this are more than six years old and don't match the menus on my Xbox. That should not happen as the app it's not currently supported but you can so this to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password and after the restoration when you get asked if you wanna keep the old settings select no:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps

On the Xbox one) Go to the display and sound settings > set TV Connection to "HDMI" instead of auto detect. (The picture should look like trash at this point) > set TV Resolution to 1080 or 720 (whichever you prefer).

Have you set the Xbox One to control the power toggle of your TV? If so, it will send a signal to your TV to toggle the power state of the TV. Basically, if your TV is On before turning on your Xbox One then the signal sent to the TV will turn it off. If
it is Off before turning on your Xbox One, then it will turn On the TV.

Check the settings to see if this is the case. It should be under Settings -> Power & startup -> Power mode & startup -> TV & A/V power options

Just to note that my #1 no longer seems to work. #2 still does but is mighty inconvenient when your DVR happens to be recording and you can turn it off. What a frustrating device this has been.
