Unfortunately, it is not possible to unlink the account via the Microsoft once it has been linked;

Remembering that it is only possible to link one Microsoft account per PSN account.

You can't, once a psn account is linked to a Microsoft account it cannot be unlinked, this is a Sony rule and there is no way around it.

Firstly I can confirm that it is a Microsoft Account. The issue is that the account was created using my ex-husband's Microsoft account, which I can not access.

I can not legally login into his account and so I want to move all of my son's game profiles off my ex-husband's account to merge onto a new profile. The only way to do this is to be able to access the existing account, which I don't have access to.

Since my son plays the Xbox and not my ex-husband, my ex-husband left the Xbox with his son when we separated.

How can I verify that the game accounts on the Xbox belong to my son when they are registered on my husband's Microsoft account. I can't provide order history as I can't access the account to provide it.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little bit more information to make sure we provide the correct solution. Have you been able to log in to Minecraft on your PlayStation 4 before, or is this the first time you try logging in? Does
an error code appear with the error message? Which troubleshooting steps have you attempted thus far?

If this is your first time logging in to Minecraft for PlayStation 4, we recommend logging in to
the Xbox website with your Microsoft account before logging in to Minecraft. This is to make sure that the Microsoft account has an Xbox profile set up on it. Your account will be automatically
assigned a gamertag. You can choose to change your Xbox gamertag for free as long as it has never been changed before. Be sure
to let us know the results!

I tried both. When my husband's account is used, it shows my husband's xbox gamer tag. When I used my account to sign in, it wants me to create an account.

When we set up his xbox account we used an outlook email address for my son.
