Just a friendly reminder though that unlinking an EA account will only be possible on EA's end. If you don't have access to the EA account you may need to check options with EA.

I understand the point that it was not ea.com that was hacked it was a neverwind nights forum, but the fact of the matter is that the information for my gamertag that was comprimised was linked via ea.com to my live id. Not every company has been proven
to be 100% honest when it comes to these problems. When I called ea to remove account the person on the line asked why I wanted my account removed and when I told him because of a problem with FIFA12 he said they new of no problems. But after he removed
my account he said they have had alot of problems with such situations and they have several people looking into it. This was done for Ea sports nascar racing, so that is why I belive that it may of had something to do with ea and on the safe side I removed
my account from ea till this problem is resolved. Just to clearify on NASCAR you had to link your gamertag to ea by entering your live id I don't know if this is saved on their servers or not but when it comes to being hacked you will take every potential

Thank you! This will show like if I have an EA account linked to my Xbox account, correct? Because I don't remember making an EA account and it doesn't show up on the link you sent me, but I've played a bunch of EA games and can't remember if I made an EA account (same for other publishers like Ubisoft and Blizzard).

Again, the EA account was not compromised. The Xbox account was. I am not allowed to link my EA account to the Xbox account because my Xbox account is linked to the hacker’s EA account.

I understand that Xbox can not change how EA links accounts (although frankly they should be able to) but EA is not allowing me to disconnect the hacker’s EA account because, in their eyes, I am editing someone else’s account, which is not allowed.

So my account is just stuck in limbo. I have no options unless I get someone high enough in EA’s customer service that they can override the fact that I’m editing someone else’s account, and based on my conversations so far I don’t think that’s likely. The closest thing I have to an option here is to cancel my Game Pass subscription which I also do not want to do.

I have the same issue. My MS account was hacked (I assume) and linked to the hacker's EA account. Multiple tickets / calls with EA and they can't help me because *shocker* I don't own the EA account linked to my gamertag. When I try to play EA play games, it tells me my account is already tied to the hacker account....

At this point I think the only option for us is to create a brand new MS account /w new gamertag.
