On my Surface Pro i can not log in to my xbox account.

So ive got Minecraft installed and i can play that in single player just fine. However, when i try to sign in to my microsoft account to play multiplayer i get error code 80072f8f from Xbox live. The confusing thing is that i can log in to xbox.com without
any issue. Anyone know what causes this? And yes ive checked the time and date, created a new account, and added a local user account to the Surface and nothing fixes it.

If I'm logged into my surface pro with my new account, can I use my music pass which is associated with my old account?

One of the steps is to restart your network device (router or wireless gateway), which I do when nothing else seems to work and often fixes the issue I'm having.

It i snot an issue with router/ISP as another pc and tablet are working just fine. I checked the Xbox Live Networking status and it says that the server connection is blocked. I followed all the steps i have found and it is still not working. I get
the same error "0x080072F8F" while trying to log in to "Xbox Beta App", Xbox Console Companion, and through Minecraft. Windows 10 is up to date, This Surface Pro was never on Windows 7 and upgraded so that rules out some issues. I am still at a loss.

The Xbox App on my surface pro 4 is working fine. I can log in.

I see all my installed games but just can log in to the xbox live games...

I am running into the same thing ... We are on a surface pro 3 and my dad logged into store (ThePinkElephant) from my standard account and installed Minecraft. When we try to open minecraft, it just shows the Mahjong splash screen and nothing happens. Dad
made me an admin on the computer and that didn't help either. I logged into the store and into XBox using my xbox live account () and that didn't help. If we log into his account on the Surface, then it will open just fine.

Help ... I don't want to play under my dad's account (and he doesn't want me to either).
