As additional steps, in case the previous ones did not help at all, we are going to restore your console while keeping your games and applications. To do this, you must follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console information > Reset console.
3. Select Reset and keep my games and apps. This will reset the operating system and remove all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Keep in mind that this process will not delete any data from your Account/Console, it will only restore any corrupt files that are in the system preventing its proper functioning, you just have to remember your credentials to log in again after that try to update the game again.

I even spent a day installing all the cod games made, and when I installed mw3 it installed as bo6 it never pulled the graphic up for mw3. I was just unaware of what bo6 graphic on the home screen looked like and assumed it was mw3, and when I search my games in my account mw3 is missing as if I never installed it but the disk I have says mw3 on it. I'm trying to see if it was a mistake from the company or what because I opened mw3 brand new out of the package myself so I know it's not a switcheroo

I couldn't tell you why the game update was the entire game again, seems like it was a glitch in the update process. It's not happened to me recently, but I've seen this issue before, both on Windows and Xbox consoles. I've got Starfield on Steam, so I have no experience of this game via the Xbox App.

Unfortunately, when games update on the Xbox app, they don't download the update and then install it, they download and install at the same time. This means if you cancel an update it will remove the entire game. This is because the game will now be incomplete and wouldn't run.

Unfortunately you'll need to download the game again. Hopefully this will have been a one of glitch.

This happened to me in the second season update, it didn't end, I unfortunately had to uninstall the entire game and install it again, just so it worked.

My xbox is doing the same thing with mw3, and it's getting really annoying. I installed it basically day 1 just out of paranoia, and now I can't play this one spec ops mission because it says DISC IS UNREADABLE.

but that shouldn't matter as the entire game is installed to the HDD already!
