On minecraft. My world synced to a 4 month old version of its self, and i really need help

Hello. so i have this world i have been playing on for months, and i have sunk hours into it. A while back i went to my cousins house when my world was just beginning, and i synced the data from my xbox to theirs so i could show them my world.
Now everything was fine after that and when i got home my world was the same. fat forward 4 months and im at my cousins house again syncing my world to show them how much it has improved. But this time it doesnt sync and stays as the old version of my world.
I thought it was weird so i was like ‘whatever’ and i didnt play. then when i get home my xbox automatically syncs from my cousins xbox, and turns my world to the version it was 4 months ago. So now my world is the old version of itself on both xboxs and i
have no idea what to do. I really need help, i dont want to lose everything. please help me

Sorry to say bud but it was overwritten by an old sync on your cousins xbox, then saved over. You won't be able to get it back.

Once your file has been synced to the wrong version there is no way to get it back to the other version.

I need my world back this is not the first time this occured my xbox was glitching so I reset it with KEEP APPS AND GAMES! When I went to minecraft I had to re-sync ALL of my worlds... I named a world in color named Territory or something like
that. Now its gone and I ALREADY TRIED SYNC OLD WORLDS DIDN'T HELP! I really want my worlds back, because I spent ALOT of time into them. Please help me!

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this issue. A few months ago, a Beta version of Minecraft for their upcoming update was mistakenly released, causing many games to update and if a world was opened during the Beta, then if you've returned
to the current version you will need to wait until Minecraft fully updates to the version that was under beta testing before they will be available.

Another possibility is that you're using a previous version of Minecraft for Xbox One and have updated to the new Minecraft "Better Together" version. If this is the case, then you simply need to sync your worlds.

Minecraft updates and versions

To sync your worlds from the Xbox One Edition to Minecraft:

1. Sign into your console using the account with which you previously saved your Xbox One Edition world.
2. Launch Minecraft, and then select Play from the main menu.
3. On the Worlds tab, select Sync Old Worlds if your existing games haven’t already been migrated.
4. Select the world that you want to migrate and wait for the conversion to complete.
5. Your world will now sync to the new Minecraft when you sign in.

Are you talking about a Minecraft world? Also, what version [Xbox one(the old one) or bedrock (the latest one with cross platform)]?. Usually if you're connected to Xbox live, all worlds sync up to the cloud, if you're playing on Minecraft Bedrock edition,
when you click play, there should be an option at the bottom to sync old worlds.
