On minecraft I can't play online multiplayer

Hi, so I don't actually pay for the gold subscription but I still can play gold games and online multiplayer. so I don't know why I can't play minecraft online multiplayer.

Let's set up your account then

Go to the top right corner, click on your avatar

click on xbox profile(warns me if it doesn't show up)

will open a green screen

click on privacy

will open another screen, with your gamertag and big photo in the center of it

below, it has 3 tabs, privacy, online security windows and xbox

in these 2 tabs, allow everything, and at the end of each one, click "send"

Hi Dérek, I have the same problem I have all boxes checked to allow but it still will not let me play multiplayer, ive triple checked everything and it wont work. Any tips?

Your friend needs to check if his account privacy and security allows for multiplayer gaming.

it only happens on minecraft, he can play online on other games, and he can play online on minecraft but only when people join him, he can't join others

Yes, you need Gold or Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Gold) in order to be able to play it online.

I have gold and still can't play multiplayer. Gives me the ''you cant play multiplayer games because of how your account is set up''.

I've tried things to do with my firewall, my account isn't a child one, following different guides online etc.. Been trying to fix this for two days now and i can't get it to work. It's not just on minecraft either, i have the same error when trying to play any multiplayer game
