    So ive had my xbox one for about 3 yrs. Just recently it has started to freeze about an hr or 2 into playing an on disc game. When it starts, it will freeze for a few seconds then work for a few seconds then freeze longer and so on till i get mad and restart
    the console. After restarting it will do it again about a half hr to an hr in. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Realy dont wanna factory reset or buy a new one. Please help

    My xbox keep freezing on start up and dashboard.

    Sometimes this freeze happens if you leave a game disc in the tray. If you remove the disc before shutting down the console or eject the disc during the freeze, it should load up your dashboard no problem.

    Hi there,

    So it would appear that playing games from your Hard Drive is working perfectly fine, but discs cause the Xbox to freeze up. I assume that by "discs", you are referring to game discs. Just to test, could you see if a DVD or music disc causes freezing at
    all?

    If these cause more freezing, then it is likely a hardware fault with the DVD Drive and would need to be replaced or you would need to obtain a new console.

    Sorry if I cannot be much more help.

    Before you go and buy another disc>>if you have another console or a friend with Xbox you should test the disc on that. If the game is freezing it may not be the disc.

    And since you tried alot of troubleshooting solutions you should see if BO4 are having any issues. Also, are you only experiences game freezing with this game?
