    Several years ago I created a microsoft account for the purpose of intalling office on my computer. Let's call this OldAccount.

    OldAccount is unfortunately tied to an email account that I will soon lose access to, yet the MS Office files must continue to be connected to OldAccount in order to work.

    When we bought an xbox one last year, I had somehow forgotten the fact that I even had OldAccount and ended up creating a new microsoft account with a current email and phone number tied to it.

    We'll call this NewAccount1.

    Around that time, I also got the xbox app (called Console Companion at one point) on my phone. Signed in with NewAccount1 no issues whatsoever. I guess there was an app update recently, because more recently when I was trying to get signed into the xbox
    app on my phone, I got an error that my gamertag was too long and to please choose a new gamertag. After doing this, I somehow ended up with yet another microsoft account, we'll call this NewAccount2.

    NewAccount1 has a healthy amount of rewards points and also has gift card balance that I don't really want to lose.

    I know that two microsoft accounts cannot be merged, and I've figured out how to create an alias for OldAccount so I can still sign into it. I *think* I have successfully deleted/removed NewAccount2.

    Current dilemmas: My computer files are still connected to OldAccount. If I try to change account info from the account picture on the top right while on my laptop, I get an error message saying that "your organization has policies the don't permit this
    change." Any idea how to fix this? I currently show only one microsoft account, NewAccount1, when I go to Start, Settings, Accounts, Your Info. Yet when I open my excel files, the info on the top right matches info showing on OldAccount. This confuses me,
    especially since the alias created for OldAccount is not even connected to NewAccount1.

    Is there a way to somehow connect or link OldAccount and NewAccount1 together so I can have access to my computer files on the laptop and still have use of the giftcard balance and rewards points? If so, will doing this affect any settings in the xbox console?

    I'm done buying games for the 360, so now it's just for PS3 and Wii U and in a year for PS4.

    -

    I'll definitely be purchasing a PS4 but I'm still waiting for Naughty Dog to blow my mind away with their awesomeness.

    I'm not interested in either of those games, but I do want South Park: The Stick of Truth and Fable Anniversary, both of which come out after the launch of the Xbox One. My plan is to have the Xbox One in my room and keep the Xbox 360 at my girlfriends,
    I'm there quite a lot so I'll be playing them quite a bit.

    Pretty much done with buying games for this gen now but LoS 2 will be a day one buy. DkS 2 will depend very much on the beta. Bit wary that Miyazaki's input will be minimal and Namco Bandai picked his replacements because they want a more accessible game
    that'll appeal to a broader audience.
