    Hi there, I have an issue on my hands with my microsoft account and my need further technical support. Basically my old email address keeps re-appearing in the redeem a code section on Xbox/Laptop/Mobile of my account. I recently changed the email address
    (2 weeks ago) associated with my Microsoft account, after adding this fresh new alias to the account, I unlinked my old email address (the original I created the account with), to get rid of all the spam emails I used to receive and to have a more formal looking
    email. Would I have any issues when redeeming an Xbox code even though it's saying it'll be added to my unlinked/inaccessible email? (it was @live.co.uk lol, it's lost now as far as I'm aware). I really need some clarification here.. thanks

    As Lyyche wrote if that doesn't help, contact the support if they might help you. I hope you're issue gets solved soon =)

    Have you changed the email on the xbox section of your Microsoft profile as well, some things in terms of security can be done on each and there may be some verification required for it to apply on xbox as well as Microsoft

    well I remembered my password but it is still linked to my old email address... but the new email address is linked to the BeastlierBeef5 account ? My new email account was put in via my xbox so maybe that's where the problem lies. I now seem to have
    2 accounts. This one with the wrong email address... and the one above with my current email address but no links to my games or achievements....

    hotmail address associated with old xbox gamertag was removed from old microsoft account. Need help recovering gamertag.

    I signed into the gamertag/xbox account earlier today, realised it was linked to an old hotmail address, and was trying to change the associated MS account's email from that hotmail address to my gmail address.
