Old account recovery

Okay, this is a bit weird but long story short I had an old account my brother made for me back when I was like 12 under the Gamertag Tom The power. now I would love to either get it back or combine it with my new account but at this point, I really don't care that much. The big problem is I never used the email and I don't have a chance in hell of filling out a satisfactory amount of info on the traditional recovery form to access the account. I'd understand if I can't recover the account but my parents keep getting an extraneous charge for Xbox live by the month on their credit card. is there any way I can get in touch with customer support and resolve this

Hi,

it's very easy. Try to log in on Xbox live with the related email and click on 'forgot password'.

The system will reset your password and will send you an email with a link where you can choose a new password.

And don't forget to write it down. ^^

Unfortunately if you don't know any of the other details connected to the account you wont be able to get it back.

They need something to verify you are the owner, or anyone could phone up and claim they just couldn't remember the address.

If you're not able to recover the account in that way, you may need to create a new one. This is because no one at Microsoft can view or change the account details for you, this is for security policies.

what information would need to be provided?

Im pretty sure I used a a conjured up name address ect as I already had enough email addresses back then.

If I literally just knew the email I could recover it/refesh my memory and remember the password.
