OG Xbox game doesn’t work on 360 when it should

I’ve been trying to play NFL 2K five on my Xbox 360 it tells me that the game is not currently supported although it is on the support list I have an original hard drive that is official and I have used to play OG Xbox games in the past with. I cleared the cache from my Xbox and the only thing I can think to do is connect to the Internet and then give it an update. I cannot do that at the moment but until then is there anything else it could be? because I cannot think of anything else.

Just to cover everything from your side. the disc region is from the same region as your Xbox 360?
I ask this because Xbox 360 games are region locked

Please double check that. If everything looks good, try connecting and updating the console to see if that helps

All of the Xbox One games will work and Xbox 360 and even OG Xbox so who is telling they are not?

I still have some OG Xbox games, so IMO it should be an Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Also it should support the Duke controller and the OG Xbox mic, and also it should be inverse compatible. It should play PS games as well all the way from the PS1.

It's a new technology. Why should it spend the development team's time to do something a device already does that they sell?

The list of 360 is very large, but should have more Xbox games OG too, the games of this console are very few that are in backward compatibility.

There's more OG Xbox games than in your list and also some of those are 360 games.

All those were originally on the OG Xbox, they also re released the odd one on the 360

There is also only 39 OG games available on the backward compatability list
