Offline won't let me play a game I own on disc and digital

I guess it's because it's only available as special edition for XB1 and you might have to download the

add-ons to have the complete game.

Is it possible for you to take your XB1 and the game disc with you to a friend or a friendly neighbour to finish the installation ?! Looks like the only solution to me - hopefully it works offline after...

I don't think you fully understand how consoles work

You install games and like MOST games they can't fit on one blurays so they do a day 1 patch along with online installations

You will be hardpressed to find games that fit on one disk especially xbox one and series x due to the limits of bluray storage

And fyi I think you don't fully realize what game sharing is

You exchange home consoles to access each other's games so while he has access to your games you HAVE to br signed in online to access your games

And while you have offline access to his games he has yo be signed in online at all times to use his games

It wouldnt work otherwise and be committing theft if you can make unlimited offline access because there wouldn't be any checks ONLY one home console at a time

The game is skyrim. And I Uninstalled the game turn my console to offline and hard reset then reinstalled and it didn't do anything still says the game isn't finished installing go online to continue installation

I'm not asking to use anyone's game offline and I understand how game sharing works been doing it for years. And if you buy a game and an Xbox you can still play a game regularly even if you've never connected your Xbox to the internet. That's the entire point of owning a disc game.
